Kathrin Schaeppi (MS, MFA, MLA) is a Jungian Analyst and federally licensed psychotherapist with a private practice in Basel, Switzerland. At ISAPZURICH, she serves as a lecturer, training analyst, and supervisor, and also leads the Psychological Picture Interpretation department. She is co-founder of the ISAPZURICH Picture Collection, organizer of the Zurich Lecture Series, and a board member of the Psychological Association of Basel. She has organized several conferences, including the Embodied Jung Conference (2022) and a symposium marking C. G. Jung’s 150th anniversary (2026). Born in Basel, Kathrin grew up near Boston before returning to Basel, Switzerland as a teenager and where she lives today.
Kathrin is passionate about supporting people to discover and express their true voice, unique creativity, and connection to what feels sacred to them. Her holistic approach weaves together dream work, drawing, active imagination, and creative expression through writing, painting, and movement. In supporting both personal and social transformation, she draws on her interdisciplinary background in the sciences, communications, gender studies, mindfulness, and body-based practices.
Her publications include the family chronicle Reunion (Gremper, 2002), the prose-poetry collection Cancer Mon Amour (Winterling/Dusie Press, 2009), the creative biography Sonja Sekula: Grace in a Cow’s Eye (Black Radish Books, 2011), and the historically researched C. G. Jung – The Basel Years: A Walking Guide (Daimon, 2025).
She is also a supporter of ELEA, the Foundation for Ethics in Globalization.
